PUDAS

Pudas is located at Seminarievägen 24B (downtown). They are open on Wednesdays 6pm -12pm and Thursdays 9pm-1pm. On Wednesdays they mainly serve food and are more of a pub than on Thursdays. During Thursdays they have “nightclub”/pub. You can go there and dance if you feel like it or just hang out in one of the bars. Check out their website: www.pudas.se

Some information about Pudas history: Pudas is the oldest student pub in Växjö. Customers are exclusively university and college students from Sweden where the bigger part is from Växjö. The pub exists since 1983 but it has been there under different names since 1967(!) when the university was founded as an agency of Lunds University.

To get to Pudas (from campus) you can take bus number 1 from “Smedsvängen” (opposite the gas station by Ica) and then get off at “Vintervägen”. When you get off there will be a green area/park to your right, walk straight thru it. When you’ve walked thru it, Seminarievägen are the houses slightly to the left, 3 stories high.

The bus takes about 15 minutes to Vintervägen.
(Vintervägen is approx. 3 bus stops after the library)

Then type any campus adress in the top box, ie. P G Vejdes väg 6, Växjö , and then Seminarievägen 24B, Växjö, in the lower box.
Press, Sök/Visa, and you will be shown the exact way to get from campus to Pudas.

For those of you living at Vallgatan the closest way is to go to S. Järnvägsgatan you turn left and walk along the railtracks until you can cross over the tracks. From there you go straight ahead, you pass the library and continue until there is a roundabout, where you turn right to Ringbergsvägen. The first road that cross Ringbergsvägen is Seminarievägen. Turn left and walk until you can see a daycare on your left handside. Pudas is on your right side!
