Gekås is one of Swedens biggest tourist attractions! It is a massive store with everything you can imagine. Food, clothes, design, fashion, hardware, movies etc. It is so famous to visit that channel 5 in Sweden even made a tv show about the store and its workers!

Come with us and see for yourself why almost every Swede visits this store!

Welcome Party

Is an evening dinner (23 jan) for all new exchange students and their buddys. All new students are invited and do not need to buy a ticket. If you want to bring your buddy he or she will have to get a ticket. But it’s definitely worth it since you get a 3 course dinner, a lot entertainment and a ticket for the after party at stallarna!

Other students can also buy tickets for the after party at Stallarna for 40 SEK, the band “My Fighting Gentlemen” will also play at stallarna that night!

Jan 21, 11-13, K building, ( Tickets for IKEA will also be sold )

VIS day and Flea Market

Hi all!

Hope you are starting to get settled in and enjoying your first days in Växjö! VIS will have a Flea Market on Sunday Jan 17 11 am - 2 pm in Tufvan, Student Union building. All the money will go to UNICEF and most of the things have been donated by last semesters exchange students. Come and find new sheets, pillows, blankets, bikes, cutlery and much more!

Same day we have our VIS day. We will have signup for activities such as Stockholm, IKEA, Gothenburg and membership cards! Its in K building between 2 pm - 5 pm. We will finish of the day with a movie. There will be fika and you can mingle around!

Hi and welcome to Växjö International Students website!

All new exchange students arriving can look under Arrival to get all the info you need for your arrival!
When you arrive you will be picked up by a VIS board member or a friendly student. They will take you to International Office where you will get your keys and more information about the coming days!

VIS will hold a fleemarket on Sunday January 17th. Here you can find things for your new home. VIS will also hold a VISday where you can signup for activities and memberships. Come and mingle and have a fika!

On January 23rd VIS and International Office are hosting a welcome dinner. Its free for all new exchange students! More info, go to Activities and Welcome Dinner.

Afterparty ticket to Stallarna!

From tomorrow (Thursday) until Friday we will sell afterparty tickets for the Goodbye Party on Saturday which will be at Stallarna. The price for the tickets are 150 SEK. If you still haven’t got a ticket -here’s your chance to get one for the afterparty!
