Flea market: August 25th
Come and buy things for your stay in Sweden. Here you can find everything from kitchen stuff to bed linen. We will also have sign up for VIS membership and the Welcome Dinner.
The VIS-Day: August 29th
Come and meet us in “Gallerian” in the K-building. Have some “fika” and watch a Swedish movie. We will have sign-ups for membership and our trips to IKEA and Gotland.
IKEA, Älmhult: September 3rd
What is more Swedish than IKEA? We will visit the first IKEA ever!
IKEA has everything you need for your new home, so come with us and shop away!

Welcome party: September 11th
The VIS, the International Student Life Coordinator and the Linnaeus University would like to welcome you to Växjö by throwing you this party. (the dinner & after party at Stenladan).
Price: 160 SEK, Sign up: During the flea market August 25 and VIS-day August 29.
Gotland: September 17-19th
If you’d like to see what Sweden used to look like during the Middle Ages, you should visit Gotland! Gotland is Sweden’s largest islands, off the east coast and with the sun during the year! Lovely city Visby with its small streets, good nightclubs and pubs, delicious food and we can assure you that we’ll have a lovely weekend together! Famous Pippi Longstocking films were made here!

Moose & Glassworks: September 24th
Have you ever wondered how tall a moose is and how glass is made? All your questions will be answered on this trip, since you’ll both visit a moose park and Sweden’s most famous glassworks, Kosta Boda . You’ll also have time for some shopping at the big outlet.
Price: 120 SEK, Sign up: September 1st in the K-building.
Horseback riding: October 8th
It’s easy to forget about working out, when you’re too busy going to parties. But the VIS is happy to help you with this and now you have a chance to go horseback riding with your friends!
Price: 80 SEK, Sign up: October 3rd in the K-building.
Stockholm: October 15-17th
If you’re in Sweden, you have to visit our capital! Stockholm is a beautiful and fun city and you won’t be disappointed! The bus trip, hostel, dinner, entrance to the outdoor museum Skansen or Vasa museum and a guided tour at the Royal Castle are included in the price.
Price: 1.100 SEK, Sign up: September 22nd in the K-building 4pm .
Swedish Night: October 21st
The VIS Activity Committee will organize an evening at Pudas to let you become a bit more familiar with Swedish traditions.
Price: 40 SEK. Sign up: October 3rd in the K-building.
ESN Sea Battle: November 16-18th
Students from ESN Sweden, ESN Finland and Estonia meet up and dance the night away on this amazing trip. The bus trip and ferry are included in the price..
Price: 1000 SEK. Sign – up: September 26th in the K-building.
Copenhagen: November 13th
Leave campus for a day, and come with us to the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen! The trip includes a boat trip in the city and the bus to Copenhagen.
Price: 300 SEK, Sign – up: October 28th at 7 pm in the K-building.
Soccer tournament: November 27th
This is the perfect time to show off the skills you’ve learned during our soccer Saturdays.
Price: and sign up date will be decided later.
Goodbye Party: December 11th
Time to say goodbye, don’t miss out on the best party of the semester!

Ski week
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to go skiing with us and your friends! More info will come later on.

Enjoy movies from the Swedish movie industry. We’ll show movies on Mondays in Weber in the

Soccer: Saturdays, October 2nd –November 20th , 5 pm – 7 pm.
Play (indoor) soccer with the VIS on Saturdays in Olympen (Indoor hall on Campus).
